This pedal is perfect to use on its own to get mild gain sounds that just starts to break up or go full tilt to get a full-on overdrive sound when your amp is set on the clean channel. Alternatively, you can use this pedal to boost an over-driven tube amp or overdrive, distortion, fuzz and muff pedals that will give an amazing sound, clarity and tone. This pedal also cleans up when you turn down the guitar volume without losing the overall volume levels so it is a very versatile pedal that can be used for many different types of applications.Silver Centurion hints and tips:The Silver Centurion is a transparent overdrive in the same way that a Klon Centaur is. Transparent means that it doesn’t drastically change the colour of your tone so when you turn the pedal on, it won’t sound like a different guitar tone. It will sound like the same tone, but better. My Strat is just “more Strat”… etc.This is achieved by separating the frequency spectrum up into several bands and treating each differently. Bass frequencies are passed through untouched giving a full bottom end, treble frequencies also pass through but can be boosted by the tone control, mid frequencies go through a soft clipping circuit to give them an amplitude dependent boost to the harmonics. The gain control controls gain and volume simultaneously to vary the sensitivity and width of the mid band of frequencies.The pedal also acts as a buffer when in standby which is an advantage if you use it as the first pedal in a chain of effects. This gives you two ways to use the Silver Centurion…It can be used as a clean boost for your amplifier. A booster adds some extra girth to your signal to push your amp a little harder. Set up a clean tone on your amp and experiment with the pedal. Start off with a low drive level, then gradually build the pedal gain up as you play. You’ll learn how the pedal changes as you add in more gain. If you have a tube amp, you’ll be able to hear how the pedal also begins to push your amp at a certain stage.You can also set your amp to the point where it’s on the verge of breaking up, then use the pedal to push the amp into overdrive. This is another common way of using a transparent overdrive pedal.Another way to use a Silver Centurion is to stack it with other drive pedals. You can use a pedal (or your amp) to produce your main drive tone, then you can add in the Silver Centurion when you want your tone to have a bit more sparkle or boost.The blue halo light ring installed diffuses the light when playing live, avoiding being blinded by the standard LEDs just as you are about to go into that all important solo thus giving a larger area to see where the pedal is located easily on the pedal board on darkened stages. The addition of the large aluminium foot topper gives you more real estate for contact when switching the pedal on and off during quick changes when playing live.All Flattley “Silver Range” pedals are hand processed in our Flattley paint shop. They are etch primed first to ensure that the primer bonds to the aluminium enclosure which also provides an anti-corrosive protection layer. Multiple coats of base coat primer applied, the silver base coat colour is then applied and topped off with several coats of lacquer. Once the lacquer is hardened, it is then hand polished to achieve the smooth deep lustre finish that is inherent in all Flattley Guitar and Bass effects pedals. Dual Super Filter inspired by the MS-20At the heart of the Prometheus 3 are an analog high pass and low pass filter inspired by our favorite 1970s monophonic synthesizer classic. Like the MS20 these filters are controlled separately. You can make them do completely different things at the same time.It’s packed it with features including multiple LFOs, separate envelopes for each filter, tremolo, savable presets for each of your creations. You can also assign the parameter knobs for each preset. Octave down effect? Oscillating fuzz? Why not? You can even customize the LED color for each preset.That’s a lot of parameters you have there…If you’re not the diving right in type, there are 121 factory presets. To access them flip the switch to BANK mode. Use the Preset and Select knobs to access eleven categorized banks. Each bank contains eleven patches ready to go. Use them as is, or as a starting point and edit to your delight.Each bank also has settings mapped to the parameter knobs unique and intuitive to their bank category. For example, the envelope filter bank’s parameter knobs control the envelope depth, the filter cutoff frequency and resonance. For LFO filters the knobs control the modulation depth, filter cut off and resonance.What the heck is Auto-Set?While in edit mode some parameter rows have an Auto-Set under the select knob. These don’t control their own paramter. Instead AUTO SETS send preset values to each parameter in that row. This can be helpful for dialing in tones faster.AUTO SET 0 will recall the original settings before editing. Setting the AUTO SET to 1 generally sets things to default or “off.” Turning the select knob to the higher positions are more extreme.Oscillating FiltersBoth filters will oscillate with the resonance set to maximum. With the pre-filter gain set high the guitar and filter oscillation interact in a menagerie of chaotic fuzz.Maybe you’re thinking all that chaos would get annoying. Especially annoying if it’s oscillating while you aren’t playing. Luckily you can set a noise gate to shut off all output or limit each filter’s resonance while you aren’t playing.More than your average Envelope FilterSo there’s loads of options beyond the chika-chick-bow-wow. Der Z.VEX Instand Lo-Fi Junky ist eine modifizierte Variante des Lo-Fi Loop Junkys. Mit dem V.ZEX Instand Lo-Fi Junky Vexter ist es möglich die Sounds und Eigenschaften des Lo-Fi in Echtheit zu erzeugen. Zusätzlich verfügt das Gerät über einen Kompressor, Filter (Lo-Fi) und man kann Chorus und Vibrato Sounds erzeugen. Mit Mini Toggle Schalter kann die Wellenform (Sinus, Dreieck und Rechteck) gewählt werden. Regelmöglichkeiten: Volumen, Tone, Comp Lo-Fi, Depth, SpeedVolume: Regelt die Gesamtausgangslautstärke.Ton: Kann verwendet werden, um die Helligkeit des Lo-Fi-Signals (des Vibrato-Sounds) zu verringern.
