Tubesteader Lightkeeper

The Lightkeeper is an all-tube preamp based on the clean channel of the D-style amp, specifically the "High Plate" design.

This preamp is all about bright clarity and articulation. It's got a vintage Blackface vibe but with tighter bass and more prominent mids, thanks to the refined tone stack, which takes a classic circuit to the next level.

The Lightkeeper makes a great pedal platform and delivers the ‘tube feel’ to any ampless setup. It is an excellent choice for those running it directly to a power amp or fx-return. Connecting the Lightkeeper to the front of the amp is also an option, but the result will significantly depend on the internal preamp of your amplifier.

The three-way Deep and Boost toggle switches offer a wide range of tone tweaking. When set in the middle position, they can also be controlled by the on-board or external footswitch.

The Lightkeeper operates on a standard 12VDC voltage, which is boosted inside the pedal up to 280VDC for optimal performance of the 12AX7 tube.
