Product information "Lindy Fralin Strat Blues Special - Set white"
The Blues Specials are our second best-selling Stratocaster set! They are a great choice for players who want a little more “thickness” in their single note soloing. Blues Specials will give you more crunch in your chord playing.
This set is 5% darker and thicker than our Vintage Hots.
Lindy's Strat pickups are exact copies of the Fender pickups of the late 50s, early 60s. The pickups sound very open and lively. They support the sound spectrum of your guitar without robbing it of its characteristics, even in combination with high-gain amplifier circuits. Like all Fralin pickups they are hand wound. You use the same high quality materials as back then.
However, there are some small improvements:
The individual pickups are wound specifically for the corresponding position (bridge - middle - neck). Therefore you get a very balanced volume balance.
The middle pickup is wound with "reverse polarity", which suppresses the usual hum problem of single coils.
All Fralin pickups are much better waxed than the old Fender pickups. Therefore they don't whistle, even at higher volume.
Approximate Ohm Readings:
Neck - 6.3 K
Reverse Middle - 6.3 K
Bridge - 7,2 K
