The Vagabond Tremolo is a tremolo with a vintage personality, blended with more depth, more speed and more control.
Fender Blackface / Brownface amplifier
The old Fender Blackface amplifiers had a very recognizable tremolo circuit that many find appealing. When the Vagabond is switched to bias mode, it mimics this classic tremolo effect. The other side of the story is the harmonic mode, which is closer in sound to Fender's older "Brownface" amps.
What makes the Vagabond Tremolo different is that it works for both of these vintage tremolo styles. It manages to pack both into a nice, compact pedal. The mini toggle switch on the top lets you choose between the Bias and Harmonic circuitry. The rest of the controls consist of speed, intensity and volume as well as a slider labeled Env Drift. With this last slider, the tremolo effect can be either slowed down or accelerated by the player's touch. This could be an interesting way to better adapt the effect to the dynamics of your playing.
