Product information "Wren & Cuff Caprid small foot"
It started in 2012 with the Caprid pedal. The idea was to make a full-size replica of the legendary "Ram's Head" muff pedal. Knowing that there were in fact four different versions of the circuitry within the 70's housings, Wren and Cuff decided to make a "best-of" version of all the circuitry versions to preserve what was special about each one.
For the original Caprid pedal they used a replica of the original single layer circuit board, carbon resistors, large tropical fish capacitors and of course the mega-sized muffbox case in the original style.
After many, many requests they made a "small foot" version of this fat monster sound machine five years later.
In the Small Foot version there were some small changes due to the construction, so that everything could be packed into the small box. Wren and Cuff used quieter metal film resistors, standard size metal film and ceramic capacitors and a smaller PCB.
The tone of the Caprid Small Foot is very multifaceted. It can be violin-like smooth and carrying, but also slippery and driving when the sustain knob is turned back. Medium mid-scoop and strong saturation on the tap.
