Lindy Fralin Strat High Output - Set

High Output Single Coil Pickups are for players that use the Hum-Single-Single or Hum-Single-Hum variation on their guitars. Our High Output Pickups are thick, strong, and dark. If you have a bright sounding guitar, you will love the sound of High Output Single Coil pickups. High Output Pickups are perfect for any musician trying to balance the tonal aspects and the output of a humbucker with their single coils. High Outputs are wound with 5% more coil than Blues Specials, which means 5% more output than our Blues Special pickups. 5% more coil also means more mid-range and less treble than our Blues Special Pickups.

Lindy's Strat pickups are exact copies of the Fender pickups of the late 50s, early 60s. The pickups sound very open and lively. They support the sound spectrum of your guitar without robbing it of its characteristics, even in combination with high-gain amplifier circuits. Like all Fralin pickups they are hand wound. You use the same high quality materials as back then.

However, there are some small improvements:

• The individual pickups are wound specifically for the corresponding position (bridge - middle - neck). Therefore you get a very balanced volume balance.

• The middle pickup is wound with "reverse polarity", which suppresses the usual hum problem of single coils.

• All Fralin pickups are much better waxed than the old Fender pickups. Therefore they don't whistle, even at higher volume.
