Heavy Bottom Light Electric Guitar Strings

You like strings that have that certain punch? You like to pluck the lower strings, but still want to be able to pull them slightly upwards? Then our Heavy Bottom 10s are exactly the right strings for you.

This set deals with the two tension problems that occur in typical 10-52 sets: The second string is too light and the fifth string is too heavy. We fix the top end by placing a .0135 underneath for the typical .0135, which perfectly balances all simple strings. Then we drop the thickness of the fifth string down to 0.040 (from the typical .042) to balance everything evenly down there.

These two optimizations give our Heavy Bottom 10s a great balance on both bare and wound strings, with extra tension on the bottom for harder players - or simply for those looking for a thicker sound at the bottom.
